Catfish And Cold Beer
The guy watched a catfish
sizzle in a frying pan,
hoping he hadn’t
been catfished.
The guy waited
for his cold beer.
He checked his watch,
waiting for the woman.
A woman in the corner
shots him a grin,
and he thought it might
be the woman.
The woman didn’t approach.
If they lacked a spark,
they agreed to go their
separate ways.
The waiter served the catfish,
but the guy pushed the dish away.
The guy glanced back to the corner;
the woman shot the guy
another smile.
The guy blushed hard.
She stood and approached.
The guy wasn’t there to meet
the woman with green eyes,
but she had it out for his grin.
The woman took a seat next to him.
The woman wasn’t here to see him.
The guy wasn’t there to see her.
The woman and the guy slammed
shots, and when the guy’s
date arrived, it was too late.
The guy had already fallen
for the woman in the corner.
